Adding files to songs

You can add multiple files to a song in Band Pencil to easily reference them in the setlist live view, or as an ease way to share song files with your members. Please be aware, as soon as you share the setlist with your members (or anyone external) they will be able to re-share the setlist link and anyone will be able to download the files.

Adding new files

To add a new song file:

  1. Select the song you want to add a file to.
  2. Click the upload file button.
  3. You then have the option to upload one song, or upload multiple songs.

Please make sure the files are in the list of accepted file types and the file size is within the limit - learn more about this here.

Viewing song files

To view the file, click the blue button which says View Files (X). A dropdown will appear below the song name and your files will be listed. Click on the file you want to view.

This functionality was primarily designed for PDFs, ensuring optimal performance and native loading within the browser. For audio files, it's recommended to download and play them back on a local device such as a phone or laptop for the best experience. Streaming files from Band Pencil may encounter issues, influenced by factors such as your internet connection speed.
