Band Pencil uses a transactional email provider to send emails on your behalf. This means you do not need to connect your own email account or set up any technical DNS records such as SMTP, SPF or DKIM — everything is handled for you. It's not possible to send emails from Band Pencil using your own email provider.
Replies to emails sent from Band Pencil are sent directly to your email address via the Reply-To field, so replies will appear in your own email inbox rather than inside Band Pencil. We do however provided a full email history within the platform, for users on the required plan, where you can track delivery, opens, and link clicks.
Our email deliverability is monitored and maintained closely, and very few emails sent through Band Pencil go to spam. To help ensure emails reach inboxes successfully, we recommend asking clients to add postmaster[at]mg.bandpencil.com to their safe senders list or address book.
