When editing an event we give you the option to set it as a band event, or a personal event and in this article we hope to explain the different and show you the benefits of having two options.
This is the default state the event come in, it allows for all the functionality and access for your clients and musicians.
Management by Band Pencil was first designed for people who managed a band and needed a place to securely store the information which was both accessible to their musicians and their clients. As our userbase grew we started to see people managing their own events through the site so we decided to make the events page simpler for those people. Essentially, we stripped down the event page and only included the functionality you need and we made it even easier to download invoices and receipts. When it comes to reporting, it will show 'Personal Event' rather than the band the event was tagged to.
Some of our users will keep the event set to the band option as they like being able to tag different events to different things, you can hear how Maisie does it in this article!
