How to share files with your members on Band Pencil

Sharing files with all your members

  1. Navigate to the file page and upload a new file or select an existing file
  2. In the top right, click the dropdown next to Download File and select Edit File
  3. Tick Share file with members on the Member Portal (files marked as private cannot be shared)
  4. The file will now be available on the Member Portal under the Files tab.

Sharing event-specific files

If you need to share files for certain events, for example, you need to share a file which shows a map of the venue, you can upload a file to an event and share it with your members and clients. To do this:

  1. Navigate to the relevant event
  2. On the right-hand side, in the files section click + Upload File and choose the file you wish to upload
  3. Once the file has been uploaded, check the box that says Share file with members. You can change this setting later if needed
  4. Once shared, the file will be accessible on the event page on the Member Portal.

You can see in the screenshot below, the file named PLI Document is being shared with just the members.
