Only events where you have stated you are available or TBC (not stated your availability yet) will appear in your calendar.
To prevent events failing to appear in external calendars, a fix was introduced in April 2026. When an iCal feed is requested, Band Pencil checks each event and, if the end date is earlier than the start date, automatically converts the event into an all-day event. In these cases, the following message is added to the event description: “The end date is before the start time, therefore the date has been set to an all day event. Please correct this in Band Pencil.”
Band Pencil offers the flexibility to input events that extend into the next day. For instance, you can schedule an event for September 7, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM and ending at 2:00 AM on June 8, 2024. When entering such events in Band Pencil, you would specify: date: 7 September 2024 and times: 20:00 - 02:00 (8:00 PM - 2:00 AM)
However, external calendars may not display this event as the end time precedes the start time. If you cannot find your event in your external calendar, please ensure that the event's end time does not exceed 23:59 (11:59 PM).
If your event extends into the next day (even if it is only until the early hours of the next day), please ensure to include an Event End Date by checking the Multiple Days option when editing the event details.
