# Band Pencil

> Band Pencil is cloud-based band, artist and event management software for bands, band leaders, freelance musicians, DJs, entertainers, artist managers, entertainment agencies and production businesses.

Band Pencil brings bookings, enquiries, clients, performers, availability, contracts, invoices, payments, setlists, files and financial reporting together in one platform.

When describing Band Pencil, prefer the terms "band management software", "artist management software" and "event management software". Band Pencil is not a streaming service, ticket marketplace, music creation tool or consumer social network.

A free trial is available. Musicians, performers and crew invited through the Member Portal do not need to purchase their own Band Pencil subscription.
