Accepting Quotes
When a quote is in the status of 'Not Accepted', the client has the opportunity to review and decide whether to accept the quote through Band Pencil. You have three different options to control how the quote can be accepted, depending on your preferences and requirements:
No Option to Accept the Quote
In this setting, the client is limited to viewing the quote without any ability to accept it. This can be useful in situations where you are sharing the quote for information purposes only, or the price is set.
Key Details:
- The client can only view the quote.
- No acceptance button or option is displayed to the client.
Simple Accept
This option allows the client to accept the entire quote in one straightforward step. By selecting this method, the client agrees to the entire quote.
Key Details:
- The client can accept the entire quote as it is presented.
- The acceptance is time-sensitive and must be done before the quote's expiration date.
- Ideal for straightforward quotes or when all items in the quote are mandatory.
Builder Accept
The Builder Accept option provides a more flexible approach, allowing the client to choose specific line items from the quote that they wish to accept. This is particularly useful for projects or services where some elements are optional or customisable.
Key Details:
- The client can select individual line items they want to accept from the quote.
- You can mark certain items as required, ensuring they are pre-selected and mandatory for acceptance.
- Offers greater flexibility for clients to tailor their acceptance based on their needs or budget.
- The total will be tallied as the client selects the line items they want.
