Can I insert images in emails?

Yes, but there are some important limitations to be aware of.

Band Pencil supports inserting images into emails using an image URL (for example, a logo hosted on your website). When writing an email, or creating a template, click the image icon in the email editor and paste the public URL of the image.

Why pasted images may not appear

Most email providers (including Gmail) do not support images that are pasted directly into an email or embedded as “inline” data. Even if an image looks fine in the editor or in some email clients (such as Outlook), it may be removed or hidden when the email is delivered. Because of this, images that are pasted into the editor aren’t guaranteed to appear for recipients.

Our recommendation

To ensure your images appear consistently:

  • Host your image publicly, for example on your website or a file host (external to Band Pencil)
  • Insert the image using its public URL
  • Always send yourself a test email and check it in more than one email client if the image is important

This approach gives the most reliable results across Gmail, Outlook, and other email providers.
