To synchronize your Band Pencil events as a member or administrator, you can subscribe to your unique calendar URL. After subscribing, most calendars (such as Google Calendar, Office365, and Apple Calendar) periodically sync with Band Pencil’s servers. The frequency of syncing varies from one calendar to another, but events are usually synced every 24 to 48 hours. Unfortunately, we cannot expedite the syncing process.
Adding Band Pencil's Calendar to Personal Calendar
To add Band Pencil to your personal calendar, you can subscribe to your unique calendar link on your Member Portal dashboard or the administrator's calendar page.
Since each person has a different calendar app and device, it's challenging for us to offer support for adding Band Pencil's calendar to your personal device. However, we recommend following the steps below to synchronize your Band Pencil calendar with your device.
Google Calendar
To link Band Pencil with Google Calendar you need to follow the instructions on Google's website, use a link to add a public calendar, or follow the instructions listed below:
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- On the left, next to "Other calendars", click Add then click From URL.
- Enter the calendar's address (this is the URL we provide in your account).
- Click Add calendar. The calendar appears on the left, under "Other calendars".
Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft have different methods of adding an external calendar depending on which product you're using. To link Band Pencil with a Microsoft calendar, you need to follow the instructions on their website, make sure you select the Microsoft product you use to get the correct instuctions: subscribe to a calendar.
Apple Calendar: iPhone & Mac
Mac
If you're using a Mac, to link Band Pencil to your Apple Calendar you need to follow the instructions to subscribe to calendars on Mac on Apple's website.
iPhone
For iPhones, the process is different:
- On your iPhone, open the calendar app.
- Tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen.
- Then tap Add Calendar.
- Select Subscribe to an external, read-only calendar.
- Then tap Add Subscription Calendar, enter the URL (this is the URL we provide in your account) and then click Subscribe.
Google Calendar: iPhone / iPad
If you're syncing a Google Calendar with your iPhone or iPad you may need to alter your sync settings by using this link and ticking the box next to the calendar you want to sync with your Apple device.
