These fields are designed to support a wide range of business types across different regions, allowing you to enter the most relevant registration numbers or identifiers for your business. You can choose to fill in one, both, or leave them blank entirely — if a field is left empty, it won’t be shown on your invoices.
How to Use These Fields (with Regional Examples)
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
Company Details: 12345678
Tax Details: VAT GB123456789
- Company Details: Enter your Company Number (as issued by Companies House).
- Tax Details: Enter your VAT registration number (if applicable, otherwise leave this blank).
🇦🇺 Australia
Company Details: ABN 12 345 678 901
Tax Details: GST Registered
- Company Details: Use your ABN (Australian Business Number). You can also include your ACN if you're a registered company.
- Tax Details: A simple note such as "GST Registered", include a GST number if needed, or leave this blank to hide this from invoices.
🇺🇸 United States
Company Details: EIN 12-3456789
Tax Details: Sales Tax ID: 987654321
- Company Details: Typically your EIN (Employer Identification Number) or state business registration number.
- Tax Details: Sales tax permit number, if your state requires one.
🇫🇷 France
Company Details: SIREN 123 456 789
Tax Details: TVA FR12 345678901
- Company Details: Use your SIREN or SIRET number.
- Tax Details: Enter your TVA number (French VAT).
🇨🇦 Canada
Company Details: Business Number 123456789
Tax Details: GST/HST: RT0001
- Company Details: Your federal Business Number (BN).
- Tax Details: Your GST/HST registration number.

These fields are flexible by design:
- Use them however they best suit your local requirements.
- You can format the content however you like.
- If left blank, Band Pencil won’t show them on the invoice.
